Bibimbap is one of the most popular dishes in Korean cuisine. This delicious dish is comprised of steamed rice and pre-cooked vegetables; usually bean sprouts, carrots, egg, lettuce, mushrooms, and spinach. If you prefer, you can also add ground beef of other forms of meat. Meat, however, is not a requirement for making this dish delicious. If you’d like to add a little flair to your bibimbap, try dolsot bibimhap. It is the same recipe, using the same ingredients, served in a hot stone pot (a pot that has been pre-heated in an oven). This technique hardens the rice into more of a crunchy texture, and also keeps the dish warmer for a longer period of time. Whether you like your bibimbap hot, or cool, this is nutritious dish that everyone can enjoy.
