Formerly the Interpreters Bank is now renamed as Colorado Language Connection, a service program of APDC that provides high-quality interpretation and translation services all around Colorado. This fee-for-service component of the APDC is more than simply an interpretation and translation business; it is one way to invest right back into the organization’s mission to provide direct human services to the Asian Pacific Islander refugee and immigrant communities in Colorado.

Christine Wanifuchi, the Chief Executive Officer for APDC explains, “Being in service for over 30 years, we realize that with time, the needs of the community is constantly changing as does our target population.

“Recognizing the need for continuous re-assessments on the culture and needs of our community we are serving, the APDC has been restructuring and re-branding many of our programs and services to best fit the current needs of our community and clients, one of them being the Interpreters Bank, our interpretation and translation service.“

Now with a new look, new staff with high-quality standard for customer service and a wider variety of languages offered, the Colorado Language Connection will better serve the needs of the community with a mission “to connect cultures and peoples through language by providing quality interpretation and translation services for those of our community who are marginalized due to language barriers.”

From business interpretation/translation to medical and legal, the CLC (Colorado Language Connection) handles a multitude of language services with the highest quality of standards and rapid response. From obscure to the common, the CLC also offers an extensive language availability.

Some of the languages available at CLC are: Afgani, Akhan, Amharic/Ethiopian, Arabic, Burmese, Cambodian/Khmer, Cantonese, Czech, Farsi, French, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Karen, Karenni, Korean, Laotian, Mandarin, Mongolian, Nepali, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog/Filipino, Taiwanese, Tgrinia, Thai, Ukranian, Urdu and Vietnamese.

The new and improved Colorado Language Connection has a vision “to create a peaceful world achieved by an inclusive environment where every member has an active voice in the future of themselves, their families and their communities.”
